Just as a note, the new forum layout uses a font called 'Lucida Grande'. That font was originally created for the Mac OS and comes bundled with the Safari browser for Windows. Normal windows installations do not have it.
If you don't have the font in your windows installation, the font will be substituted by your browser to another one. In my case, it was a really crappy very condensed font that was a nightmare to read.
So if you are having the same problem and want to see the forum the way it is supposed to look, , unzip and copy the 2 font files to your windows fonts folder.
Frankly, I am not too impressed with this font either but it is still better than the substitute

Re: Missing Fonts For The New Forum Layout
Already downloaded it a while ago, as it is also the font that Facebook uses.
Re: Missing Fonts For The New Forum Layout
Erm, I wonder, this new theme that was mentioned to need the new font, is that the fixed-width theme, or the variable width theme ?

*Sudden realization I could have simply opened G-D's source code to make sure
*Shame
Thanks Coop !
Now that I think of it, I may have to replace that call, or else use some javascript to load that font (that must be doable nowadays, I've seen sites load mobile fonts into my browser like that), I'm hostile to the idea the forum looks bad for people who don't deliberately install a certain font...

Re: Missing Fonts For The New Forum Layout
It doesn't look 'bad', just different.
For somebody new to the forum, it won't be an issue I guess.
