I love that : a list of sources to block. The annoying fuckers that try to browse your site to cause you problems.

Recommended Software & Links for Webmasters
Re: Recommended Software & Links for Webmasters
For instance, click on one of the lists' names :
https://www.iblocklist.com/list.php?lis ... fqjaybcssw
It gives you an "update URL", and if you click it : http://list.iblocklist.com/?list=ydxerp ... eformat=gz
That triggers the download of an archive with, inside, a text file containing the IPs to ban.
There, you obtain a text file that you can add in the iptables blocklist. You can also - I don't know how, but that is definitely doable - configure your firewall to automatically fetch the updated contents.

Hoo, I like that : https://wordpress.org/plugins/theme-test-drive/
You can live test a theme on your blog, and only you, as admin, will see it working, while the normal users will be shown the normal usual theme.
No need to duplicate anymore your full installation on a second test blog, in other words, you can see the real thing, for sure, and there are less risks to go yelling WHY THE FUCK WON'T IT WORK ON THE REAL WEBSITE FFS ?

Another wordpress plugin that I came to insta-love: Aladdin
https://wordpress.org/plugins/aladdin/
With that, you double-hit the Shift key while you're in your blog admin, you start typing the name of the page of the admin that you seek, and you'll be offered pages matching your typed criteria. Hit the Down key to reach the proper page, and, bam, you're in there.
Without having to use your mouse.
Sure it may look like a gadget, but I freaking LOVE it. It's saving time, and making finding admin pages so much easier!
EDIT: forget it. I found a major flaw, the trigger for it is to hit twice the Slash key.
Sounds cool ?
Until you want to type URLs, like http:// , sigh.

This wordpress plugin could turn interesting: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-experiments-free/
The idea: you provide different possible titles for your posts, and the plugin randomly serves the different versions of the title to the visitors on the home (not post) page.
The plugin tracks which title was the most popular in terms of clicks, and that way, in a few tries, you find which of your titles perform the best with your audience. Less rebounding away, and, hopefully, eventually, more visitors coming from search engines.

AH, this time a VERY worthy tool:
This is a tool that will scan your blog for known vulnerabilities with the engine, the theme and the plugins, and more than that.
Installing
https://blog.sucuri.net/2015/10/install ... -scan.html
Running
https://blog.sucuri.net/2015/12/using-w ... ities.html
It has to be ran under Mac or Linux, but nowadays setting up a virtual machine with VMWare Free ( https://my.vmware.com/web/vmware/free#d ... player/6_0 - those VMWare bastards made the product impossible from their website front, grrr) takes ten minutes, top, and with the instructions given in the links I just pasted, it took me 2 minutes to install it and 30 seconds to run it.

Re: Recommended Software & Links for Webmasters
Has anyone found a plugin that would generate a post title from a list of keywords you provide. I've been looking for something like this.
