Hey guys
The traffic to gallery-dump has fallen a bit, not the organic traffic, but the Search traffic, it's Google that is sending less visitors. It's not an official Google Warning as shown in our Webmasters area, it's just that, with each day, the number of people sent by Big G is smaller than it used to be.
And I've been wondering if it may not be related to "this", or "that"... There are several possibilities, and of course it may be a simultaneous combination of several of them.
For instance, the lack of a mobile version of the site (or at least a version that accepts to be less wide and has texts and icons less stuck to each other!).
Or the presence of links to image hosts ridden with megazillions of ads on every page.
Here's the thing.
I can do some testing, like temporarily disallowing all but a handful of select image hosts (only imagetwist and imgchili, plus friends' image hosts if I see they're okay).
I can also do a dirty job with the CSS (when I first found how easy it was to load content only for a mobile version, and only for a non-mobile version, I was shocked, see - impressive in its simplicity, isn't it ?)
... But: HOW LONG would it take before I can see if my improvement experiments are yielding results ?
For me, that's a complete mystery, and my web searches didn't return convincing answers.
Would YOU know, about it, perhaps ?
How long would Google take, to reward website improvements ?

No one knows how exactly works google.
May be you should try to ping the search engines or simply ask google to recrawl gallery-dump.

Haha, yeah, noone knows.
They can do a mobility test in the instant, allright. But that doesn't tell if that will trigger or not an immediate improvement in the search results. Which is the main question...

From I know it takes weeks Oli to see if the changes you make on your site have had any impact on your google rankings.
The mobile version of a website though has become a must for google I guess so if you make that your priority at least you know that it won't hurt your rankings (probably? Maybe? Who the fuck knows with google anymore?).

I would say "backlinks"
GD is not getting new quality backlinks i mean natural backlinks like the one you get by pinning pics to pinterest sex.com etc , comment backlinks etc etc.
New Link Exchanges , plug trades with Quality sites.
Oli i would recommend you should try some tarffic n hardlink trades on GFY or IQ69

Probably GD had a traffic drop because it don't have a mobile version. You should consider developing a mobile friendly version.

It could be the case that now google de-lists sites that contain revenge porn. Quite a lot of amateur is that because of ex's posting it online without the consent of their wife/gf.
