Since today, I noticed that ImgChili have .net domain.
But when a user click on thumbnails (for example this one: http://imgchili.com/show/25326/25326932_00041.jpg ), he see "hotling forbidden image" instead of original picture.
Crappy, I hope they fix it.
Even with refresh result is the same.

Re: ImgChili problems
Funny
They are forbidden to hotlink to themself.
Looks like something temporary. Probably a good idea to inform them though.

Re: ImgChili problems
the .net is probably fake and its there to harvest accounts. Don't login to it.
Re: ImgChili problems
You mean they are hacked?
I checked both .com and .net domains whois.
.com is ok, but .net has whois guard
Both domains are registered with same registrar.
Even name servers are the same.

Re: ImgChili problems
I mean a unsuspecting user would try to login to the fake site and the the owner of the fake site can then login to .com and request payout to their paypal. etc.
I think its strange they would start a .net and not tell their users about it.

Re: ImgChili problems
I sent an email to imgchili's admin about it, hopefully we'll know more about it soon
Re: ImgChili problems
I was thinking of sending email too, but last time when I did, I got an answer after a week or so.

Re: ImgChili problems
I've got a reply from the admin of imgchili, in short, it's a legit domain, they're switching.
« Can't really automate it, so please keep reminding it. We switched to .net because .com was banned in India and large portion of our uploaders is from there. »

Re: ImgChili problems
If users must repost their stuff, that will be a big fail.
